INCLUDED WITH TUITION:

All students attending either the residential program or day camp will receive their own professional Knives kit, Chef Uniform, Cake Decorating Kit and Diploma.

All meals and lab materials are included while at camp.

The residential students in addition to the above items, campers receive the following:

All students may invite guest to the Saturday Graduation to enjoy a luncheon prepared by campers.

Culinary Staff and Junior Counselors

Every camp counselor receives an intensive weeklong training, which includes CPR and first aid certification, group case studies, conflict-resolution classes, child psychology seminars, and interactive games. Camp counselors are screened by Chef Kelly in a detailed, multiphase interview process to determine their ability to relate with campers of all ages. We also background check counselors through VTCIC registries.
OWNER: Chef Instructor / Founder Kelly Q.Dietrich graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Studied with the Wilton Cake Decorating Family, Wesley Wilton and attended the Master Cake Decorating Course. He has worked as Executive Chef at various Hotel Resorts & restaurants, consulted for Humana Hospitals. Owned his own Restaurant for 10 years.  Additionally Chef Kelly has had his own TV and talk radio shows.  Chef Kelly is currently hosting Culinary Tours to Brazil and South America. Opened a successful catering business and has received numerous awards along with accommodations in his charity work.  His association with the following organizations allows him to offer his culinary talent to better mankind.
Make a Wish Foundation, Relay for Life,  Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Masons, Shriners Hospital, Elks, Lions, Moose. Odd Fellows.  American Culinary Federation and the Epicurean Club.  Appearances with the Today Show and Good Morning America. 
JUNIOR COUNSELORS -This is a new program here at the Academy. Campers who have attended at least one year of Culinary Camp are eligible for applying to be a camp counselor.
Must be at least 15 years old and willing to work the entire summer camp. Room and Board are provided along with a performance check at the end of camp. This is an opportunity for young adults to learn leadership skills, working as a team with other campers and to gain more culinary knowledge from Chef Kelly. Applicants must apply by May 1st, 2011. have First Aid Certification, Letter of recommendation from a Teacher and at least a B average in High School.  Out of state campers are responsible for their own transportation to Vermont.
